New windshield? Your safety cameras need recalibrating.

Modern vehicles run lane-keep assist and automatic braking off a camera mounted to the windshield. Replace the glass, and that camera must be recalibrated so those systems read the road correctly. We do it in-house.

Why it matters

Advanced driver-assistance systems, or ADAS, depend on a camera aimed precisely through the windshield. Even a tiny shift from a new install can throw off where the car thinks the lane lines and other vehicles are. Recalibration re-aims the system to the manufacturer's specification.

We recalibrate in-house

Some shops send you to a dealer for this, which means another appointment and another bill. We handle recalibration as part of the windshield job, so your car leaves us fully sorted and safe.

Which vehicles need it

If your vehicle has features like lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise, or automatic emergency braking, it almost certainly needs recalibration after a windshield replacement. When you book, we confirm exactly what your vehicle requires.

Good to know

Common questions

Do all cars need recalibration after a windshield?

Only vehicles with windshield-mounted driver-assist cameras, which is most vehicles from roughly the last several model years. We check your specific vehicle when you book.

Can I skip it to save money?

We would not recommend it. Skipping recalibration can leave your safety systems misreading the road. We include it as part of a proper replacement.

Does recalibration add much time?

It adds some time to the appointment, and we build it into the window we give you so there are no surprises.
